Result: Tie! 3 Treasure Votes to 3 Trash Votes

At the risk of being banned as a listener, I'll ask if Module 46 reminded you too of the tune for a Maybelline commercial from the 70s? The Telly vote is a tough one. It showed us Telly's soft side. After much introspection, after looking and listening from a cultural-heritage perspective, I grant it treasure stature. The female member of the household, however, commented as follows, "I care about Telly, but in all fairness...he doesn't have to be a great singer too." So, there you have it: one belated treasure vote, one belated trash vote.
That treasure vote by the Mrs. is hilarious. She ought to hit the comedy circuit. She's right. What is a treasure vote to a man with such positive qualities?
Think I'll have to relisten to Module 46 for that influence. I got a lot of positive response on that tune. It's actually from the station racks, so I don't own it myself...yet.
Thx!
The tune used in the commercial in turn is based on a chestnut whose title escapes me right now. I'm hearing it covered by Steve Lawrence, who, in turn, borrowed it from...Am I imagining things?
Right or wrong, I think I was thinking about Tangerine.
Maybe it's really Tangerine, but it was named Module 46 to avoid paying royalties. Who would bother researching it?

ASCAP? Well, the issue has been raised at the FJD website. Maybe it will stay here, or maybe I'll see you in court.
