You ought to know, as an accomplished trumpeter yourself. I picked up a fine 80s live set of his on DVD recently. Enjoying it a lot. Saw him at jazz fest in the late 90s as well. Sounded wonderful. I always like his treatments of Monk.
As far as Eigsti, you actually turned me on to him!
